After the weeks of speculation, the Taiwanese smartphone makers, HTC has finally launched HTC One A9 smartphone for the Indian market. HTC has announced back in November that One A9 smartphone will be launched in the month of December. As promised, the company has unveiled its much-awaited smartphone today in India at a price range of Rs. 29, 990. The company announced that the handset will be available for purchase via the leading E-commerce portal, Snapdeal starting from December 15. Registrations for the sale will commence from December 9, i.e., Wednesday, and continues till Monday.

HTC has finally launched its first handset, HTC One A9 with Android Marshmallow update. HTC One A9 smartphone is the first smartphone among the other Google’s own Nexus line smartphones to feature company’s Android Marshmallow software at launch. HTC had announced the Desire 828 Dual SIM for India as well but, the company has not yet revealed its pricing or availability in the country.

As of now, the company has announced only the 32GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM variant of the One A9 for India and has abstained bringing the cheaper 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM variant. At the New Delhi event last month, the company assured that it may launch the other variant in India as well in future.

Specifications

The HTC One A9 sport a 5-inch full HD display with a pixel resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The handset is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz which is clubbed with 3GB RAM. On the storage front, the device includes an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The HTC One A9 runs Android 6.0 with HTC Sense UI out of the box. The company has stated that the phone will receive Android updates no later than 15 days after Nexus updates.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13 MP rear camera along with a f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor behind it with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) running the show. The company claims that primary camera sports sapphire lens for the cover. The device comes with a 4 MP front-facing camer similar to its previous smartphone, One M9.

The smartphone is power-packed by a 2150mAh battery that also comes with 4G support. In terms of Connectivity, the device supports usual connectivity options that include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. HTC One A9 smartphone will be available in its Carbon Grey and Pearl Silver colors in the country.
