LeTV Enters Indian Hardware Market With Smart Cycle, 3D Helmet, Bluetooth Headphones

LeTV, the Chinese technology firm has announced its entry into the Indian hardware market with the launch of a range of niche products. At an event held in New Delhi, the Chinese brand LeTV made its debut with a slew of its innovative Le 3D Virtual reality Helmet, LeMe Bluetooth Headphones and Super Cycle that runs on its own operating system. The Beijing-headquartered company has launched three new innovative devices in India aiming to offer the end-users with devices which have ‘superior performance and riotous pricing’.

The new Chinese brand has ambitious plans to venture into the smartphone market and also bring a series of hardware products to India over the subsequent few months. During the  event, Dickson Lee, General Manger, APAC Smart Device at LeTv took wraps off the three new niche devices in India. The Chinese firm seems to hit the roaring demand for smart handsets in the country.

The Chinese company has unveiled three new devices in India at an event held in New Delhi. The three new devices launched at the event include Smart Cycle, Le 3D Helmet, and LeMe Bluetooth headphones. Among the three innovative devices, the LeMe Bluetooth headphones and Le 3D Helmet are said to offer a unique video and audio experience to the customers. The Smart Cycle is an internet-enabled self-powered transport system which is said to drive fitness to ‘newer levels’.

“Our aim is to provide consumers with an exciting and refreshing new alternative of ecosystem-based products consisting of platform, content, devices as well as applications,” LeTV General Manager Smart Devices APAC Dickson Lee told reporters in New Delhi.

The LeTV Smart Cycle comes equipped with “Cycle” operating system. The smart cycle is backed by an 8400mAh battery that charges as one pedal. The connected bicycle comes with a walkie-talkie for easy communication. The cycle also comes with additional features that include GPS for navigation, lighting system that lights up automatically upon sensing the surroundings as well as anti-theft technology.

The Super Cycle is a first of its kind smart urban cycle which is integrated with several sensors. This smart device assists the users in accumulating all data when cycling and also monitors how the user cycle. Using the cloud computing, it lets you obtain the real-time data. The Smart Cycle comes installed with a keyless and chain-less anti-theft technology with fingerprint identification which makes the cycle, even more, smarter.

Le 3D Helmet

The Chinese handset maker also launched another smart device namely Le 3D Helmet. The device comes equipped with a 5.5-inch SHARP 2K LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 2660 X 1440 pixels with a 70-degree field of view. The Le 3D Helmet weighs less than 450 grams and comes equipped with a USB Type-C port which can be used to connect with the phone for MHL signal input.

LeMe Bluetooth Headphones

One more innovative device unveiled at the New Delhi event is LeMe Bluetooth headphones. The Chinese company has made its debut in India with a slew of hardware devices that include these headphones. These Bluetooth Headphones are measured at 180 X 176.8 X 62.8mm that come with a frequency response of 20Hz – 20,000Hz for a wireless audio experience.

The device comes packed with a 195 mAh Li-ion polymer battery for an active usage. The Bluetooth Headphones provides users to enable music playback time and talking time of 10 hours and standby time of 26.5 days with charging time of 2 hours. The device will be exclusively available in five variant colors that include red, pink, blue, orange and white color variants. The device comes equipped with a microUSB Type B with a wireless range of 10m and weighs about 240 grams.

LeTV is also likely to launch its flagship smartphones in India soon. The Chinese company entered the smartphone industry in the month of April last year and has reportedly sold 1 million Le Superphones. At the event, the LeTV has launched a new smartphone namely Le Max Pro which is regarded as the first smartphone to run Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
