Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition to be Launched in India on December 10

Motorola Moto G enthusiasts in India can celebrate as Motorola has begun teasing its soon to be launched Moto G Turbo Edition this week. After launching the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch last week, Motorola seems to be getting ready for another launch in India with the new Moto G Turbo edition. The Lenovo-owned company has put out a series of teasers on its microblogging site, Twitter account, which collectively hint at a possible launch of the Moto G Turbo Edition. Motorola has finally made an announcement regarding the launch event of the Moto G Turbo Edition.

The company has teased an image on Twitter and announced that the new smartphone will be launched in India on December 10, i.e., on Thursday. Recently, we come across a news about Lenovo that it is planning to discontinue its Vibe brand so as to completely focus on its Motorola brand. Soon after this news the company has again made rectification that it is not bidding goodbye to its Vibe brand. Now, the company has made an announcement to launch Motorola Moto G smartphone in India.

The mid-range smartphone was recently announced for the smartphone markets in Mexico. The handset packs in hardware that comes arm in arm with Motorola’s other mid-range offering, the Moto X Play. However, it lacks some specifications such as the camera and battery, which is why we assume it to be priced smartly. Have a look at the specifications list of the new Motorola Moto G Turbo edition.

Specifications

The new Motorola Moto G Turbo edition features a 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 615 SoC processor clubbed with a 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the smartphone includes an internal storage of 16 GB which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

On the camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the software front, the handset runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the Moto G Turbo Edition includes the usual connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 3G, GPS, and microUSB. The Moto G Turbo Edition is backed by a 2470 mAh battery.

The Moto G Turbo Edition was launched in Mexico at a price of $283 which is approximately Rs 18,600. Motorola certainly needs to get its pricing right for the India launch as we have the Moto X Play priced at Rs 19,999 that offers a lot more in terms of hardware.
