On Thursday morning, a woman stabbed her pregnant sister-in-law in the stomach after an argument broke out.

Officials said that the incident happened in the area of Mohanpura which falls under the jurisdiction of the Rakabganj police station.

The deceased has been identified as Durgesh, the wife of Prashant.

Officials added that the throat of Durgesh was slit and she was stabbed multiple times in her stomach by Shalini, her sister-in-law.

After stabbing Durgesh, the sister-in-law attempted to commit suicide by stabbing herself with the same knife that she used to stab Durgesh.
