But instead of the driver dropping the family of Neha at their destination, the Uber Driver left them stranded on an empty road near the airport.

Neha Sehgal Bhatia posted images and videos of the driver taking their luggage out of the car.

In the post, she said, “The driver switched off the AC, and locked the windows and doors. We felt really unsafe with our 3-year-old son, so immediately dialed the SOS number. The police helpline worked, and we were also able to call a couple of security guards to get us dropped near the airport premise.”

She added that the driver even “constantly kept asking to cancel the trip and was driving at low speed, and did not want to continue the trip if he was not paid by cash. Since we were near the airport, we asked him to drop us so we can get another cab, but he was not ready to do that either.”

Neha also tried to book a new uber ride, but it was not possible due to some rules and regulations that are set by the company.

Neha was traveling with her 3-year-old son, she said that Uber did not help them, instead “they exhausted all the resources”.

A spokesperson of Uber released a statement about the incident, it said, “We regret the inconvenience caused to the rider. This form of misconduct by a driver partner violates our community guidelines. We are investigating this matter and will take necessary actions, as needed. Safety is paramount to Uber and we are deeply committed to it.”

This is not the first time that an Uber Driver has behaved inappropriately with its customer, recently a minor who is diagnosed with autism was harassed by a driver.
