Alexander Pieter Cirk met a woman on a dating app. Cirk lives in Holland and the woman, identified by her surname as Zhang, lives in China. The Dutchman who flew over 5,000 miles to meet his online girlfriend is hospitalised after waiting 10 days at the airport.

Man Spent 10 Days Waiting At An Airport:

Alexander Pieter Cirk arrived at the airport on July 17, hoping to meet a 26-year-old woman called Zhang. He claims he met Zhang online a little over two months ago and wasn’t going to leave until his “girlfriend” arrived at the airport.

Dutchman, causing him to effect his health condition. With his condition worsening, emergency services were  summoned to the airport, where they quickly took Mr. Cirk away for treatment. “We contacted him and his doctor when he was in the hospital, and of course, we’ve asked if he needed our assistance, but he declined the offer,” a spokesman for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs told.

The 26-year-old confirmed she did not expect Mr. Cirk to make the 5,400 miles one-way trip from his home city Amsterdam to Changsha. She said: “We had advanced our romantic relationship but later he seemed a little callous towards me. One day he sent me a photo of air tickets abruptly and I thought it was a joke. He didn’t contact me later.” Zhang said she wants to keep her long-distance relationship with Cirk.
