Now, the whole country is celebrating the success of PV Sindhu, who had won a silver medal for India at Rio Olympics. Her effort was terrific and she had really made our country proud. People from all over the country appreciating and celebrating her success and even big celebrities posting their great words of praise for her.

But, now the Director of award-winning Malayalam film Ozhivu Divasathe Kali, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, had come out through his official Facebook page by ridiculing the success of PV Sindhu.

His FB post reads, “Everyone is celebrating Sindhu’s achievement now. What if I spit on this? What is there to celebrate much about it?”

The director’s words had come across as a surprise to those who knew him, as he has always been a supporter of women, whether in his films or via his previous posts.

This action provoked many people who began to attack and degrade the director saying that he has finally shown his true colour.

Sanal later clarified that this post was an attempt at black humour and the people who are criticising him failed to get it. Then a number of Keralites expressed their vexation and asked Sanal to stop making such controversies.

Not only Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, Indian novelist Shobhaa De & director Ram Gopal Varma also commented on P V Sindhu’s Achievement.
