Many were shocked when Kangana Ranaut talked about nepotism being present in Bollywood during an interview on Koffee With Karan in 2017, she called Karan Johar, the host of the show, a “movie mafia” and the “flag bearer of nepotism in Bollywood.”

Many were shocked, many were annoyed, but most of us agreed to what she said, given the fact that Karan Johar has produced and directed movies for star kids like Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ishaan Khatter.

And as part of her latest movie, Karan is set to release a new popular name, Ananya Panday, who will play in his upcoming movie Student of the Year 2.

Along with Ananya, Tara Sutaria will also debut in her first Bollywood movie.

During an interview, Tara said that she considers Kangana Ranaut as her Role Model, she said, “Kangana has achieved everything on the basis of her talent, and without any support whatsoever. And being an upcoming actor, for me, Kangana Ranaut is a role model as she has inspired me.”

Student of the Year 2 is directed and written by Punit Malhotra, who also directed movies like Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and I Hate Luv Storys. The music of the movie is composed by Vishal and Shekhar.

Student of the year has released 2 songs of the movie so far, the first one is Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which is a remixed version of the hit track of RD Burman and Kishore Kumar, and the second song is Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan.

Student of the Year 2 is set to arrive in your local theaters on May 10.
