Uttar Pradesh: Woman Amongst 5 that are Held responsible for the Murder of Ola Driver Near the Greater Noida  

Police Report: In Noida, UP, 5 people were arrested on Friday after they allegedly killed an Ola Driver who was found dead near the greater Noida area last month, amongst the 5 people is a Woman.

The accused booked a taxi that will bring them to Sikandrabad on February 12, 2019, the people had a clear intention of robbing the taxi.

The spokesperson of the police said, “Upon reaching an isolated spot, they used the wrench kept in the car to kill the driver and dumped his body in a sugarcane field.”

The spokesperson added “The accused then took the car to Etah district where they wanted to sell it off. However, they failed to find any buyer for the vehicle and decided to abandon it there only in order to avoid being caught with it.”

The dead and decaying body of the Ola Driver was found on February 20, 2019, an FIR was charged in the Phase 2 Police Station in Noida, a team was assigned to solve the murder.

A police official said: “Working on a tip-off about a suspect, Mohit Sharma alias Happy, being in Surajpur, police reached there and arrested him.”

After interrogating him, the police arrested 4 people who have been identified as Radha, Mohit Bhati, Ankur, and Sunil who is also known as Tulla.

The 5 people have been charged under the IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections of 302 which is for murder, 396 which is for robbery, and other related offenses.

The 5 people have been sent to the local jail, the police official added that the car of the Ola Drive has also been found along with its proper documents.
