Hyderabad: Medicare Facilities For Auto Drivers

Hyderabad: Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said that Central Government would issue a notification for providing medical facilities to auto-rickshaw drivers at ESIC hospitals on April 1.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony of handing over the ESIC hospitals at Nacharam and Sanatnagar, Mr. Dattatreya said more workers of unorganised sectors like construction workers, domestic workers, Asha workers and mid-day meal workers would be added to the social security system in the near future.

Minister reiterated that the government would aid in setting up a medical college at ESIC, Sanatnagar. In the college, 40 percent of the seats will be reserved for the children of labourers, he said.

For the benefit of the working class, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has been taking many measures, he added.

The MOU papers exchanged between Dr.Devika Rani, Director I/c, Insurance Medical Services, Govt. of Telangana and Deshpandey of ESIC to facilitate to setup medical college at ESIC, Sanatnagar.

The Minister also told media personnel that more schemes will be added for the benefit of organised and unorganised sector employees.

The Minister also announced that the Centre is planning to disburse loans to nearly 15 crore people in the country under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana scheme which has already benefited three crore people.

“Governments plans to provide loans to women entrepreneurs’ of backward communities,” he said. So far 3.50 lakh people in Telangana and 6.18 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh were granted loans.
