Maruti Suzuki India, India’s largest automobile manufacturer has announced the rise in the total sales of its products. The Company posted that there is 13.3% rise in total sales in April at 1,26,569 units as against 1,11,748 units last year.

Even the Company’s domestic sales also increased by 16.2% in the month of April from 1,00,709 in April 2015 to 1,17,045 units in April 2016. But the sales of mini-section cars like Alto and WagonR have declined 9.9% to 31,906 units compared with 35,403 units in the year-ago period.

The compact segment cars like Swift, Estilo, Ritz, Dzire and Baleno increased by 8% to 45,700 units in April as against 42,297 units a year ago. Whereas sales of Dzire Tour increased by 73.8% during the month of April.

Sales of Ciaz have risen by 22.3% to 5,702 units. Sales of cars like Gypsy, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, S-Cross and recently launched compact SUV Vitara Brezza surged over threefold to 16,044 units from 4,452 units. Coming to the sales of Vans like Omni and Eeco, it rose 20.3% to 14,520 units in April off 12,069 last year.

Exports had declined by 13.7% to 9,524 units as against 11,039 units in 2015.
