A 34-year-old woman had allegedly killed her five-year-old son in Maharashtra. On Saturday night, the woman had cut the wrists of her own son and locked him in a room. Next day morning she informed her husband about their son’s death and she jumped off the balcony from their three-floor building. This incident has become shocking news for everyone around the building.

It was a sweet family, Deepthi, her husband Tejas and their son Aarnav lives in a famous locality in Pune. She was an instrumentation, engineer. On Saturday night, without knowing her husband she took her son Aarnav to his bedroom. In the midnight, while her husband was in deep sleep she allegedly slashed the wrists of her son and locked him inside the room.

On Sunday morning, she went to her husband and informed him about killing their son. Immediately, Tejas rushed to his son’s room where he found the room was locked. Meanwhile, when her husband ran into their son’s room, she locked him inside and jumped off their balcony from the third floor. He was in damn confusion.

Tejas raised the alarm which all the neighbors heard and came to open the door. Tejas, along with neighbors, rushed his wife Deepti to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. Thus, Police has filed a case of accidental death and started the investigation about her drastic step under depression. Police found a suicide note written by Deepthi.

Sudhakar Pathare, DCP (Zone II) said, “We have received a two-page suicide note written in Marathi. The handwriting seems to belong to her. In her letter, she mentioned that she had a lot of expectations from life. However, things were not going as she had hoped, so she was ending her life along with her son’s.”
