WaterAid Launches New App Named #GiveA** to Indian Citizens

Though India has been advancing and developing in many aspects at an impressive growth rate while it is still lacking hygienic sanitation system in rural and remote areas which are truly a dispiriting fact for its people. A study shows claims about 60 percent of the population practice open defecation in India and is unaware health hazards posed by it while the astonishing fact is that this developing nation has more mobile phones than toilets.

A new app called #GiveA** has been launched by an NGO WaterAid so as enlighten Indian citizens through poop emojis. This newly launched app #GiveA** by the WaterAid allows the users of it to create their own emojis and then can share it on social media or with friends. Developers of this app and the non-profit organization WaterAid claim that this app is not only meant to entertain users and inspire their creativity. The main motive behind the implementation of this app is to encourage users to share their creations online to promote awareness of the World Toilet Day Campaign.

It is being conceived that sharing the created poop emoji’s through this app would create awareness among people about harmful effects of open defecation. Users of this app have been stating that emojis is quite interesting, enlightening people are over hygienic health with a new approach. Online community expresses its hope over this newly launched app #GiveA** over changing the minds of the people educating them about the pros of using sanitized toilets and cons of defecating in open.

This mega new online campaign is being carried out across the world while major influence is being laid on developing nations.  As per the reports of United Nations, it is being said that more than 2.4 billion across the world don’t have access to sanitized toilets. United Nations also alleges that about a billion people in the world defecate in open which is really a concerning issue.
