Vivo Launched X6 and X6 Plus Flagship Devices With Metal Unibody Design, 4GB RAM and Fingerprint Sensor

As promised, Vivo has launched two new handsets namely X6 and the X6 Plus on Monday in China. Vivo Electronics is a Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm had confirmed that it will host an event on November 30 where it is expected to unveil its ‘X6’ series of smartphones. In line with the previous reports and images teased on the Tenaa listings, Vivo has finally launched the much-awaited smartphones in China.

Vivo X6 and X6 Plus launched

Vivo has launched both the X6 variants with pretty good specifications and features. Both are dual-SIM supporting smartphones which are varied in price. The Vivo X6 smartphone is priced at CNY 2,600 (approximately Rs. 27,000) while the China Unicom version costs CNY 2,500 (approximately Rs. 26,000). The X6 Plus is priced at CNY 3,200 (approx. Rs. 33,200) with China Unicom version costs CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs. 31,000). Both the handsets will be available starting today in China.

Specifications of Vivo X6

The Vivo X6 smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels that come` with 2.5D curved glass and a calculated pixel density of 424ppi. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor which is clocked at 1.7GHz, coupled with 4GB RAM and Mali-T760 GPU. On the storage front, the handset sports 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Vivo X6 Specs

On the Camera front, the new Vivo X6 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto focus sensor, 6P lens, f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash. The device comes with an 8-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera on board.  The dual-SIM smartphone runs FunTouch OS based on Android 5.1 out-of-the-box.

In terms of connectivity, the handset supports the following connectivity options:

  • 4G LTE (Supports Indian LTE bands)
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • USB-OTG
  • GPS
  • USB 2.0

The device measures 147.90 x 73.75 x 6.56mm and weighs 135.5 grams. The new Vivo X6 is backed by a 2400mAh battery. The company claims that the smartphone comes with an amazing technology called ‘Twin Engine Flash Charge’ technology and Nine Vivo Charging Protection System for faster and safer charging.

Specifications of Vivo X6 Plus

The new Vivo X6 Plus features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass and a calculated pixel density of 389ppi. On the Storage front, the X6 Plus variant comes with 64GB inbuilt storage out-of-the-box. The Vivo X6 Plus variant almost comes with similar specifications like Vivo X6. The Vivo X6 Plus is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone sports a Yamaha Hi-Fi chip that comes with a dedicated amp for better audio output.

Vivo X6 Plus Specs

Both the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus sports the same fingerprint sensors placed at the rear panel below the camera. The fingerprint sensor which is located below the rear camera is claimed to unlock the screen within 0.4 seconds. The sensor can be also used as a self-timer shutter button for taking selfie images. Both the handsets are made of anodized aluminium-magnesium alloy.

The dual-SIM Vivo X6 and X6 Plus variants will be available in three color variants such as Silver, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants. The flagship smartphone, Vivi X6 is priced at CNY 2,600 that translates to approximately Rs 27,000 while the Vivo X6 Plus at CNY 3,200 that translates approximately Rs 33,000.
