India is known worldwide for its big fat weddings, which are usually a grand affair all across the country. Here’s a video of Big fat “dog wedding” held in Kaushambi (Uttar Pradeshr). The marriage took place as per Hindu traditions in the Pawara village which welcomed the guest with full fervour. The union of two faithful ‘dog souls’ was celebrated with much fanfare in a grand affair that saw some 5,000 people in attendance!

The ‘groom’ Shagun belonged to Basant Tripathy, while the ‘bride’ Shaguniya belonged to Jung Bahadur. The attendees came to the ceremony dancing to the tunes of DJ.

Traditional Indian cuisine was served to the attendees, who came for the wedding. Jung Bahadur gave a tearful send off to Shaguniya, who departed along with her groom in a car.

Apparently, this is not the first time that a dog wedding is being celebrated with so much pageantry in India. We keep on seeing reports about such events from time-to-time.
