Police Report: A Police Constable was arrested in the district of Dausa in Rajasthan after he was caught taking a bribe from a rapist, the constable promised to drop the charges against him.

The constable has been identified as Dharm Singh, he asked for Rs. 50,000 from the rapist but was negotiated to Rs. 40,000. Constable Dharm Singh was caught taking the bribe from the rape accused.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau said that after they received a complaint against Dharm Singh, they laid a trap which allowed them to arrest him after he received the money.

Constable Dharm Singh was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
