Sand Boa Snakes Worth Rs. 1.5 Crores Seized From 2 Men In Maharashtra

Police Report: 2 sand boa snakes that are worth Rs. 1.5 Crores were seized from 2 men in Palghar, Maharashtra, the 2 men were arrested by the police.

Sand boa snakes are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of India.

The police said that the 2 snakes are worth around Rs. 1.5 crores in the black market.

46-year-old Sunil Dhanawa and 38-year-old Pawan Bhoya were arrested under relevant sections of the Wildlife Protection Act.

The police are currently investigating if the men were going to sell the snakes in the black market.

Sand Boa Snakes are used in cosmetics, medicines, and some say in black magic.
