Irumbu Thirai is an upcoming 2018 Indian Tamil-language science fiction thriller film directed by P. S. Mithran. The film features Vishal, Arjun and Samantha Akkineni in the lead roles, with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the soundtrack. Produced by Vishal Film Factory, the venture began production in October 2016. It is being dubbed into Telugu as Abhimanyudu. The film is scheduled for worldwide release on 11 May 2018.

The movie is directed by P. S. Mithran and is produced by Vishal. The story is written by P.S. Mithran. The Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The Cinematography is done by George C. Williams. It is edited by Ruben. The Production Company is Vishal Film Factory and is distributed by Lyca Productions. The movie is scheduled to be release in this month i.e. on 11th May 2018.

Vishal decided to fund and act in a venture directed by newcomer P. S. Mithran in August 2016, and subsequently signed on actress Samantha to portray the leading female role in the film. The film began production following a launch event in October 2016, with Vishal and Samantha shooting scenes alongside actors Robo Shankar and Delhi Ganesh for the first schedule.  Arya later opted out of the film citing that he was not ready to play an antagonist in Tamil cinema, and was replaced by Arjun.

The cast of the film includes Vishal as Major R. Kathiravan, Arjun as White Devil, Samantha Akkineni as Dr. Rathi Devi, Delhi Ganesh, Robo Shankar, Vincent Ashokan and many more other actors in this film. the movie is already released in Telugu with the name ‘ Abhimanyudu ‘. The trailer of the film is going to be released in Tamil today i.e. on May 5^th 2018 in the evening.
