BIS SCIENTIST B RECRUITMENT 2018:

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the National Standards Body of India working under the aegis of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. It is established by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 which came into effect on 23rd December 1986. The Minister in charge of the Ministry or Department having administrative control of the BIS is the ex-officio President of the BIS.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:  The candidates must have passed with a bachelors degree in engineering or technology or equivalent in concerned discipline with not less than 60% pass percentage in aggregate. ( 50% for SC/ ST candidates ). This is qualification required for all the posts other than for microbiology.

For microbiology: the candidates must have passed with the master’s degree or equivalent with not less than 60% pass percentage in aggregate ( 50% for SC/ ST candidates )

AGE LIMIT:

The candidates should be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years old. The age relaxation will be declared by the BIS authority as per the rules. Relaxation in upper limit is permissible up to 3 years for OBC candidates & 5 years for SC/ ST candidates.

APPLICATION FEE:

Application fee of Rs. 750 /- is to paid by the candidates through online mode of payment only. However, the SC/ ST/ PWD/ ex-serviceman & female candidates are exempted.

SELECTION PROCESS:

1. Written test &
2. Interview.

EXAM PATTERN: the exam will be only online written type. The question paper will be for 200 questions. Each question carries one mark.
