Aadhar Card Helps Authorities In Re-Uniting Son And Mother Who Were Parted 2-Years Back

Technology has virtually depleted the miles in between people and is helping us instantly regarding any thing. Now, that the government is urging people to have Aadhar card and other identification policies, this recent incident in Punjab’s Maur is a live proof of the wonders that can happen only with the advent of science.

A 14-year-old boy is now reunited with his family after he made his way back when he was 12, and all this phenomenal thing happened because of the identity card- Aadhar Card. Lovepreet, who flee home earlier is acknowledged by the authorities, with the help of his thumb impression, they located his native place.

Following some petty clashes, this young boy from Maur ran away from home and boarded a train to Shimla. There he first got to stay at a Dharamsala and the officials there with the child protection wing of the state government guessed his district. Later he was transferred to the Children Home in Gurdaspur and the authorities decided to get his Aadhar card made.

In this process of making an Aadhar card, it is was then his address was revealed which said that he belongs from Maur which fortunately led his reunion with the family on 22nd May.

Lovepreet reportedly said that it was his thumb impression that revealed his identity at Gurdaspur ashram. His mother, Binder Kaur, a farm laborer, was finding his son since past two years but it is the Aadhar card which gave her son back. She said that she went mad looking for him and she cannot explain her pain. However, the cops at the police station were not of much assistance.

When asked about this, Ravneet Kaur, the Child protection officer said that they will do their best to make sure that any inmate that comes to Children Home gets his/her Aadhaar card.
