Indian Air Force Sepoy Commits Suicide At Guajrat’s Naliya Station For Unknown Reasons
If freedom fighters are the people who brought Independence to India back in 1947, it is soldiers who are now struggling to restrict the outer chaos from breaching India’s boundaries. No matter however we thank them, we always live in debt for the unprecedented service they provide to us- common people.
From past few months, starting with a video from the Army personnel on the quality of the food that is served to the series of complaints surfaced the Internet alarming the authorities. Though there is no valid proof from either side, it is always believed that there are many unfortunate rules and norms that are forced by the higher officials on the soldiers.
Unfortunately, none can be aware of them as a matter of distance. Another deeply saddening incident took place in Gujarat’s Naliya station of Indian Air Force.
A soldier belonging to the Defence Security Corps took his life shooting himself brutally in the chin. According to the Kothara police station near Naliya, he did this while manning a watch tower at Air Force Station in Naliya in Kutch on Sunday. The station further added that sepoy Sonu Ramnivas (27) was found dead on watch tower No.30 of the IAF station in Naliya at 11:30 am.
Meanwhile, an official from the Kothara station said, “Another sepoy climbed up the watch tower to relieve Ramnivas of the duty at around 11:30 AM on Sunday. However, the reliever found Ramnivas laying in a pool of blood.”
The way body was found and its condition clearly reveals that it is a suicide case. While probing the precise angle of the accident, the official concluded, “Prima facie, he shot himself in the chin and the bullet exited from the top of his skull. The incident took place between 9:30 am and 11:30 am on Sunday. His rifle was also lying beside his body. This is apparently a case of suicide.”
Suryakumar Ramchandra, the concerned security officer at the IAF station in Naliya, Kothara police added that a case of accidental death is registered and started the further investigation is in progress.
However, it is very sad to know that over 340 soldiers have committed suicide in India since 2014.
