This Is How German Air Force Planes Rescued A Jet Airways Flight As It Lost Contact With Air Traffic Control
AN INCREDIBLE video shows two German fighter jets scrambled to escort a London-bound passenger plane after the pilot lost contact.
Recently, the Mumbai-London Jet Airways flight lost contact with the Air Traffic Control leaving the crew slightly worried about the safety of the 777-300ER aircraft. But the German Air Force came to the rescue of the Jet Airways flight 9W-118 as they escorted the plane for a brief period while flying over Cologne.
Watch the incredible footage of the German Air Force fighter here:
The video was captured by a British Airways plane and you can see the fighter jets scrambling to help the JA plane in the video. The JA pilots later informed that they communicated with the Eurofighters over the emergency frequencies and later safely reached London.
“Jet Airways has duly reported the matter to the concerned authorities including the DGCA. As part of the standard process, the flight crew of 9W 118 has been de-rostered pending investigation,” an official statement from Jet Airways said.
However, many people have noticed a small dark object in the footage – highlighted below – that appears to be moving very quickly, sparking speculation it is a UFO.

But aviation experts were quick to dismiss the claim with one saying: “The crossing dark spot is the shadow of higher traffic cast on the cloud top. Its speed is typical of jet traffic.
“Nothing unusual about it at all.”
