Assam’s New Tourism Ad Featuring Priyanka Chopra Fails To Impress People For Its Poor Editing, Gets Criticized On Twitter
Travelling was always a wide platform to offer some mind blogging share to the state’s economy. In order to attract a wide range of people, advertisements are must and the respective states of India never step back when it comes to the quality and the content of the ad.
Now, various states have their own version of ads intensifying the necessity to travel their state and the amusing packages they offer. In order to reach the wider public, they go on installing the billboards featuring the country’s leading sportsperson or an actor.
The North East Indian state Assam has come up with a similar kind of plan, so they opted for the Bollywood’s popular and Hollywood’s newbie Priyanka Chopra, though many of the northern people denied to accept her, However the respective authorities moved on with the project, but surprising everyone, the billboards came out so bad that Twitter can no more digest the truth.
People started trolling the ad since the launch of the logo for its poor grades of creativity and code. In addition to that, the advertisement featuring Priyanka Chopra with the tagline “Naturally Wild. Kyunki Yeh Assam hai”, things have clearly gone out of the frying pan and into the fire.
This illogical and non-sinking ad quickly went viral on social media, triggering a string of negative responses from people. Some Assamese have also said that at a time when many people are carrying wrong impressions about the state being all about forests and jungles, this ad rolling out of the state tourism department just proves their impressions.
@priyankachopra the poster has zero creativity, looks cheap with the punchline. Naturally wild~ Kyonki yeh Assam hain is pathetic.

1st step gone wrong. @sarbanandsonwal @himantabiswa— Parag (@Paragmusicfreak) March 4, 2017
Assam has mentions in the epics like Mahabharata, Kamakhya Temple, 600 year old Ahom legecy etc. can’t be summarised as “Naturally Wild”
