It’s been a while and the Cyclone Vardah has already splashed the parts of Andhra Pradesh with definite intensity, The coastal districts like Nellore and Prakasam were already warned and nearly 9,450 people from low-lying areas to safe places by the respective authorities.

Three teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were deployed to undertake rescue and relief works Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana was camping at district collectorate’s office in Nellore.

Addressing his people on taking all the possible careful measures, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu said, “With heavy rains predicted, we’ve alerted district administration to stock up essentials, food supplies, and water”.

“I appeal to people of coastal AP & Chennai to stay safe. In AP, I’m monitoring the situation & following up with official”, he added.

Due to the current weather scenario of Chennai, it is estimated that there might be a heavy rainfall on December 16th, that likely disrupts the upcoming England Vs India fifth test, scheduled at Chennai.

Team Indian clinched the fourth test with England at a striking 3-0. The fifth and final test is actually planned to be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on coming Friday.

The cyclone Vardah has already hit the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. Heavy rains lashed the Chennai, but officials are hopeful that by the time the fifth Test starts the Cyclone will be over and the match will go ahead as planned.

Rajeev Shukla, chairman of IPL addressed a media channel, “Fifth Test will take place in Chennai. Tamil Nadu Sports Authority is keen on hosting it. No changes as of now.”

The mere good news of happening the final test was ceased as an alert has been already sounded in the state of Tamil Nadu for another ten days.

Addition to this, after the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on December 05, there were doubts whether Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) will be able to host the match or not. However, the cricket association has not informed BCCI about rescheduling, and that means the fifth Test will go ahead as originally scheduled, only of weather gods do not intervene.
