Zaira Wasim Hits Out At This BJP Minister With Full Swag And Won The Internet’s Heart!
Zaira Wasim doesn’t need any introduction, as the 16-yr starlet got immense popularity and admiration for her splendid performance in Aamir Khan starrer “Dangal” which broke all the records on the box-office.
But ever since she met J&K Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti and shared an emotional post on social media, the 16-year-old Dangal star Zaira Wasim has been in the eye of the controversies.
Just a few days back, her apology on Facebook startled and shocked everyone. She apologized for “unintentionally hurting the Kashmiri youths” and demanded that she must not be considered as a ‘role model’. Many people speculated at length about her viral post, which was later deleted.
Everyone from Bollywood to politics supported the fact that her apology was unneeded and stood behind her with strength. We thought this chapter of controversy was over but today, our Sports Minister Vijay Goel further punctured this issue again.
Yes, the ‘Dangal star’ Zaira Wasim has hit back at Union Minister for sports and youth affairs, Vijay Goel, for an unusual comment that he made about her.
It started when, Vijay Goel, Youth Affairs and Sports minister, tagged Zaira unto his tweet while he reflected on a picture with two girls; in hijab and cage respectively and adhered Zaira’s plight to the woman in the picture.
Here’s what Goel tweeted with this photograph seeing the injustice happening with Zaira Wasim:
This painting tells a story similar to @zairawasim, पिंजरा तोड़ कर हमारी बेटियां बढ़ने लगी हैं आगे | More power to our daughters!

His comparison didn’t go well with Zaira. The comparison was religiously insensitive as her story was completely different and hence, to respond to his insensitivity, she took to twitter to express her disagreement.
In a series of tweets, she perfectly shut him up.

Wearing a Hijab is not a punishment.

Zaira is not caged, the society is caged.

Seeing the backlash, Vijay Goel tried his best to cover up.
He clarified his tweet attaching the patriarchy and the intention behind it.
You have interpreted wrong. I appreciated your work and stated that evil and patriarchal notions must be discouraged. https://t.co/OPBy5EZifN

I’m afraid you still haven’t understood. But I wish you all the very best and appreciate your work. Hope to meet & interact too. https://t.co/h2RK3K3zIB

We think ministers like Vijay Goel really need to stop patronizing women and comment on their freedom and rights.
And how far do you think this was right? She’s just a 16-year-old girl and it’s not at all ethical to make her a victim of such sensitive issues.
