Baby Born In Karnataka With 4 Legs & An Extra Genital, Parents Considered Him As ‘Gift From God’
2017 has just begun and here came another moment of mystery. An unusual infant was delivered at the Dhadeasugure Primary Health Centre in Raichur, Karnataka.
Reportedly, the parents belong to a nearby village of Puldinni, namely Lalitamma, 23, and Chennabasava, 26.
The couple was reluctant at the beginning as they believed that this differently abled kid is a ‘gift from god’. It was also believed that the parents were considerably poor, and being scared about the huge expenses they have denied the surgery.
After all the possible suggestions from neighbours and doctors, the pair has now agreed for the newborn to have surgery at the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), in Ballari.
Now, their newly born son is in neo-natal care at VIMS. They also have a three-year-old boy, who has no known medical conditions.

Contrary to the baby’s outlook, it is surprising to notice the baby as healthy as every another normal baby. Following the condition of the child, arrangements were made for transferring to VIMS.
Dr Virupaksha, the doctor who delivered the baby said: “I referred the family to VIMS. I spoke to the surgeons there on Sunday, and they told me that the baby was being kept under observation. I hope the infant becomes normal.”
“A team of surgeons is looking into the baby’s condition. It is a very challenging case for us” said Dr Divakar Gaddi, who was looking after the baby at VIMS.
The baby’s mother, Lalitamma later concluded: “The doctors and members of my family advised me to take the baby to VIMS for advanced treatment. Now, I am hoping he becomes normal.”
