Elderly Couple Claim Dhanush As Their Son And Seek Court For Monthly Maintenance
Tamil film superstar Rajnikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush, a popular actor himself, is caught in a bizarre situation. A couple from Madurai has approached court claiming that Kolavari Star Dhanush is their son, who is not providing them monthly maintenance for their livelihood. The couple filed a petition stating they were his parents and he refused to provide them maintenance.
A judicial magistrate court at Melur in Madurai on Friday ordered Tamil actor Dhanush to appear before it on January 12 next year in connection with a petition filed by an aged couple who claim that he is their son.

R Katharesan (60) and K Meenakshi (55) from Manampatti village in Melur Taluk have filed the petition that Dhanush’s original name is Kaliselvan, who was born on November 7, 1985. They have produced a birth certificate along with a couple of photos to prove their allegations.
The couple claims that Dhanush real name was Kalaiselvan and he did his schooling up to X standard at R C Higher Secondary School and Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School in Melur before he was admitted to XI standard at a private school in Tiruppatur in Sivaganga district. However, discontinued his education and went to work in the film industry where he joined hands with director Kasthuri Raja. The couple said their several attempts to meet their actor-son were to no avail.
The couple has produced a birth certificate along with childhood photographs of the actor as evidence to validate their claim.
