Himachal Pradesh: In a tragedic incident, Three teenagers, identified as Deepak (16), Vishal (16) and Vishal (18), were allegedly electrocuted while bathing in a dam in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The incident took place on August 21.

According to an eyewitness, the group of friends had jumped into the dam and they were swimming in the stream when they were trapped in the pipe installed for lifting water for irrigation.

They were immediately fished out and taken to hospital by other boys present there and were declared brought dead at the Regional Hospital here.

The SP, Ajay Bodh, said the cause of the death could only be established after the reports of forensic and postmortem reached them. The administration had given Rs 20,000 as immediate relief to the affected families, he added.
