News, Twitter: The Rio Olympic Olympics might have gotten over but good news continues to come for India from the games. The news, however, isn’t from this edition but comes from the 2012 edition which was hosted in London.

Yogeshwar Dutt, a freestyle wrestler of India, made headlines today for winning a bronze medal at London Olympics in the year 2012 and here’s good news for all the Indians as his bronze medal is to be upgraded to silver!

As confirmed by reports, Russian freestyle wrestler Late Besik Kudukhov who won a silver medal in London Olympics 2012 in the 60 kg freestyle division made use of prohibited substances.

This news was a huge delight for the people who are still celebrating the success of Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu. Twitter went abuzz.

Virender Sehwag, who remains quite active on social media, also didn’t hold back his emotions while expressing his excitement on the silver medal upgrade for Yogeshwar Dutt.

Well, he had a number of other reasons to be excited about, too.

Indian Olympic medallist and wrestler Yogeshwar might have had a disappointing stint at the recently concluded Rio 2016 Olympics, but he has something to lift up his spirits. Dutt’s bronze medal, which he won at the 2012 London Games, is set to be upgraded to silver. The unexpected upgrade has been triggered by a positive dope test of the silver winner in the 60-kg freestyle event in London – Russia’s Late Besik Kudukhov.
