Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha’s health was ruined a few days ago and she was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai. She was suffering from high fever and dehydration. Since then, the entire state, especially her fans are eagerly waiting to know the status of her health and praying for her health to improve.
Since Jayalalitha was admitted to the hospital, her health status is kept secret and has made dissemination about her very complicated. These enabled rumour that she has suffered a multiple-organ failure and entered a vegetative state. This situation brought many old-timers remember the former TN Chief Minister MGR while he was sick and undergone treatment abroad.
Rumours Regarding Jayalalitha’s Health:
To oppose all these rumours, the Apollo hospital authorities began to release health bulletins on Jayalalitha’s health periodically. Although the information given by the hospital authorities was basic, it satisfactorily dispelled rumours about her temporarily. As rumours started surfacing, Apollo hospital started releasing its news bulletins again.
But the news bulletins didn’t have sufficient information about Jayalalitha’s health. Each bulletin is worded identically, “The honourable Chief Minister has responded well to the treatment. The honourable Chief Minister has been advised to stay at the hospital for a few days.”
As the hospital authorities released six such bulletins with the same matter has made Jayalalitha’s health a joke among the people.
