Indian Student Builds Real Life Iron Man Wearable Robot Suit

While the real-life version of Tony Stark may be concentrating on building electric cars and sending us to Mars, others are trying to turn his Ironman suit into reality. Vimal Govind anMikandhan, an Indian engineering student, has created an Iron Man suit in real.

The Ironman wearable Robot Suit costs just $750 to build and is capable of lifting roughly 330 pounds. The suit has its drawbacks. It weighs 220 pounds. Govind says he will make some necessary changes to make it better.

Indian Student Builds Real-Life Walking Iron Man Suit:

Manikandan says the suit was inspired by action movies like Avatar which also features mechs and designed for use by the military. He wants to make it useful in terms of making it easier for individual soldiers to lift very heavy objects. He has a small team working on a robot made to pick things up and put them down.

The exoskeleton weighs 220 pounds, can lift 330 pounds (it’s not clear if that includes the exoskeleton and human inside). As a reason, it’s difficult to walk and run in this robot suit.
