Telangana Plans 3 More Government Hospitals In Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Telangana Government has decided to establish three more government hospitals in the city in addition to the existing Osmania, Gandhi and King Koti hospitals. Officials have been directed to search for suitable lands for the three new hospitals.
Presently Osmania Hospital, Gandhi Hospital and King Kothi Hospital are run by the government. There was a need to set up 3 more government hospitals to make health care accessible to all irrespective of their social and economic status.
Representation should be made to establish a hospital in thickly populated old city areas which are inhabited by a large number of poor people who can’t afford to go to private hospitals for treatment.
Following the direction of Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, officials have sprung into action.
The announcement by the government is promising but now it is the responsibility of elected public representatives to avail the opportunity in the best possible way.
