He is further received by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Shri Ganeshi Lal – Governor of Odisha at the airport. Reportedly, AIIMS Bhubaneswar first convocation was scheduled on August 16, 2018, earlier. But following the demise of ex-prime minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the ceremony was shifted and rescheduled to August 25.

Besides, letting the media know that especially 25 platoons have been deployed for the arrangement of nation’s vice president’s visit to Odisha, a senior police officer said, “The entire security arrangement has been done as per the Blue Book guidelines. As the Vice President will be in Bhubaneswar for four to five hours, a detailed review of the security arrangements from his arrival at the airport to Raj Bhawan and to AIIMS and return to the airport was done today.”
