Twitterati Brutally Slammed Uday Chopra After He Voiced His Opinion On Fairness Creams
There are some celebs whom you just can’t ignore and Uday Chopra is one such person who tops this list, even though the whole Bollywood industry seems to have ignored or forgotten him.
Especially on social media, he is always in limelight for his tweets and no matter whatever he posts, he gets trolled for it. In short, Uday Chopra is a favorite of trollers on web and Twitter.
Recently, Abhay Deol slammed the b-town celebs for endorsing fairness creams and talked about the wrong message ‘whiter skin is better skin’ that these stars gave to the masses which further raises racism in the country.
Deol took a jibe at actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham among others. Without mincing his words the Dev D actor launched his anti-racism campaign on social media and Netizens lauded him for his stance.
After his attack, Sonam Kapoor tried to diss him but got brutally trolled instead. Yes, the actress replied to Abhay Deol with her cousin, Esha Deol’s picture and then deleted it after her move went all wrong.
While all the other actors have been silent, Uday Chopra shared his views on the recent debate.
Actor Uday Chopra (who is better known for his little epiphanies on Twitter than his acting skills) expressing his valuable thoughts on the much-heated issue of using fairness creams in the country.
This what Chopra had to say:
What is this nonsense with fairness creams. If fairness creams are racist then so is hair color. It’s a personal choice! #NotRacist
— Uday Chopra (@udaychopra) April 14, 2017
On fairness creams. If you need to use it, do it. It’s not a race issue, it’s a self esteem issue. Don’t do it if you think you are fine!

Clearly, his remarks didn’t go really well with the Twitterverse as people immediately started trolling him left. right and centre.

Sir for you to understand this, you need to first understand what “racism” is. I seriously hope you’re joking with this tweet.

Have you seen any one saying oh your hair is black so dont come near me, but same happens when a person is dark skinned.

Chopra even started a Q&A session on Facebook and as usual, it didn’t go well. FYI, he just answered three questions and it was more than enough for the social media to get through the day.
But in case, you thought you could stop him from using his freedom of expression, he has a message for you.
The thing people need to understand about me, is that I don’t mind if you hate me, I’m used to it. I’ll still say what I think.
