Times of India prints ‘RIP Sachin Tendulkar’ Twitter says RIP ToI
Times Of India, so called Indi’s leading newspaper has been in news since a long while for its idiocy and amentia leading to blunder and has been buzz in the media. It seems Times of India is being through bad times and committing mistakes one by another. On Friday 28th November 2014 has misprinted the “RIP Sachin Tendulkar” Instead Of Phil Hughes. It was evident that Australian Cricketer Phil Hughes died on Thursday in Sydney after being struck by a fast bowl in Sheffield Shield match.
Though it was a sad and black day for cricket it was a big day for media covering the news and making the circulation and viewership of their own. As a part of usual media strategy Time Of India which is so called India’s leading news paper has turned around made it as even more big day for them. The unfortunate and unexpected demise of Phil Hughes left everyone heartbroken — especially those associated with the game. Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was also among the cricketing legends who tweeted about Phil Hughes as many who showered their tweets and love for Phil Hughes after being through the news of his demise.
Former Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar had offered his prayers, writing “Shocked to hear about Phil. Sad day for cricket. Deepest condolences to family, friends and well wishers. RIP #PhilipHughes”. TOI in its post went on to replace RIP Phillip Hughes with RIP Sachin Tendulkar.
This isn’t a first time as Times of India has been in controversies since past couple of weeks. It all started with infamous episode of Deepika Padukone’s CleavageGate, the mistakes refuse to die down. Deepika Padukone had publicly lashed out at the daily on Twitter with others joining her. However there has been another post and story in Bombay Times, an special paper for Bombay by Times Of India, that ran a story on actor Arjun Rampal being the bone of contention between his wife Mehr Jessia and Sussanne Roshan, Mehr’s close friend and actor Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife which has again lead to a big controversy again for creating baseless allegations and controversies which were completely banged up by the Bollywood stars.
Adding to this there has been another story which was scripted down as the legendary footballer ‘Raul’ with ‘Rahul’, when Barcelona star Lionel Messi overtook Raul in La Liga. Lol..!!! We must agree that no other idiotic post of Times of India beats the mistake of confusing Sachin Tendulkar in place of deceased Phillip Hughes. Well, Times Of India we hope you wouldn’t dare to do this kind of error again.
Have a look at the tweets in twitter which have been posted and focusing the Idiocy and Blunder of Times Of India.
