Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition Launched in India, Now Goes on Sale Via Flipkart

Motorola has finally launched its much-awaited smartphone namely Motorola Moto G Turbo in India. The new Moto G Turbo is the higher end variant of its popular Moto G smartphone. After launching the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch last week which is a successor to the original Moto 360. A couple of days back, the Lenovo-owned company has put out a series of teasers on its microblogging site, Twitter account, which collectively tipped at a possible launch of the Moto G Turbo Edition. After the weeks of speculation, the company has finally launched the smartphone in India.

Recently, a news went viral on the news media about Lenovo that it is planning to discontinue its Vibe brand so as to completely focus on its Motorola brand. Soon after this news the company has again made rectification that it is not bidding goodbye to its Vibe brand. Now, the company has launched Motorola Moto G smartphone in India. the company announced that the device will be available for purchase on the giant E-commerce portal, Flipkart starting today. Priced at Rs 14,499, the smartphone houses amazing features and specifications.

Specifications

The Motorola Moto G Turbo edition sports a 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 615 SoC processor paired with a 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the smartphone includes an internal storage of 16 GB which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

On the camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the software front, the handset runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the Moto G Turbo Edition includes the usual connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 3G, GPS, and microUSB.

The Moto G Turbo Edition is backed by a 2470 mAh battery that comes with the TurboPower wall charger which has the ability to quickly charge your smartphone. The company claims that it can give 6 hours of talk time with 15 mins of charging. The handset is very familiar to stock Android albeit with certain Moto features such as Moto Voice, Moto Assist and many more. The handset includes usual sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor.

The smartphone is exclusively available in two color variants such as Black with a DeepSea Blue back and White with a Slate back.
