A Youngster Was Arrested For Asking The Goa’s Health Minister About Unemployment
The police arrested a youngster for asking the Goa’s health minister and MLA, Vishwajit Rane, about unemployment.
The incident happened on Thursday night when a meeting was being held to discuss Shripad Naik’s Campaign, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Gaonkar asked the Minister about why he was not provided a job despite being a supporter of the Minister.
Gaonker explained the incident, he said,”I only asked him why I was not given a job despite being promised one for several years now. At the meeting I was only raising a question about a job promise made to me by the Minister, which was not fulfilled and I was arrested after the meeting ended.”
Gaonkar was arrested under the Preventive Criminal Procedure Code section 151by the police officers of the Valpoi Police Station.
Gaonkar was released on bail later on.
Vishwajit Rane is yet to comment on the incident, but sources close to the health minister said that, “There is a way to put up a question. Darshan was unruly and was instigated by the opposition to embarrass everyone and cause chaos. Perhaps someone filed a complaint against him.”
On Friday, the Congress judged the incident and said that BJP is misusing its power.
Trajano D’Mello, the spokesperson of Congress said, “This is how the BJP is misusing its power and it has reached its frustration. This can only happen when the Chief Minister who is the Home Minister is misusing the police. The Congress condemns this action.”
