19-Year-Old Student Arrested For Faking His Own Kidnapping To Get Rs. 3 Crores To Buy A Luxury Car

Police Report: 19-year-old Sandeep Kumar was arrested by the Gurgaon police after he faked his own kidnapping to get Rs. 3 crores from his family which he wanted to use for buying a luxury car.

19-year-old Sandeep Kumar is a Class 12 Student who lives in the Krishna Colony, he left his home on March 29 for a cricket academy, but since then, he has been missing.

Pro Subhash Bokan of the Gurgaon Police said, “During the investigation, it was found that he gave Rs. 500 to a ragpicker to make a ransom call to his brother Naveen Kumar. He stayed in Bhiwadi for a couple of days, after leaving his motorcycle near a temple in Sector 5 to show his kidnapping as genuine.”

Sandeep returned to Gurgaon afterward, a traffic officer saw him and handed him to the local police.

During the investigation that was done by the local police, he tried to mislead them and narrated a fake story.

After some time, Sandeep confessed that he faked his own kidnapping to get Rs. 3 Crores from his family members which he wanted to use to buy a luxury vehicle.
