Police Report: On Friday, 25-year-old Ajay Thakur, a Shiv Sena Leader was shot by 3 men in Gurdaspur, Punjab.

The police said that the 3 men killed him over a dispute.

25-year-old Ajay Thakur was going to board a bus near the Purana Shalla Area when 3 youths riding a motorcycle came and started to shoot him.

Ajay was rushed to a hospital but passed away because of the injuries he attained from the incident.

SSP Swarndeep Singh said, “There is no terror or any other angle behind this incident. The only thing which has come to the fore so far is that the assailants had a dispute with him over some issue.”

The 3 men are still on the run and are being hunted by the police.

SSP Swarndeep said that a case has been lodged at the police station and a probe has been launched for the murder.

The family members of 25-year-old Ajay Thakur said that he has been receiving death threats from the men but the police did not act on time and were unable to save their son.
