Police Report: On Wednesday afternoon, 3 Children were burned to death inside a transformer room in Noida’s Sector Phi-3.

The police said that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in Noida’s Sector Phi-3 when kids from the area were playing cricket on a road and the cricket ball went inside the transformer room.

The police added that 3 kids went inside the room to bring the ball back when suddenly a blast ripped through the room, the 3 kids failed to escape the room.

Shwetabh Pandey, Greater Noida’s First Circle Officer said that the local police was informed about the incident by 4 PM. He added that they retrieved 3 dead bodies which were sent for an autopsy.

The police have assigned a team that will investigate the case and a legal proceeding has started.

The 3 kids have been identified as 13-year-old Rinku, 8-year-old Golu, 8-year-old Sagar. All three of them lived in Sector Phi-3. Family members of the 3 kids said that the electricity department of the area is careless.

One local said that the transformer was not working properly, even after the complaints that were registered by the residents of the area, the department did not send any personnel to check it out.
