3 Men In Their Late 30s Arrested For Kidnapping And Murdering A 10-Year-Old Boy In Jabalpur
Officials have arrested 3 men for kidnapping and murdering a 10-year-old boy in the village of Sagda near Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The police said that they killed the minor to ask for ransom money from his family members.
SP Nimesh Agrawal said that some of the villagers saw the boy with the 3 men before he went missing.
The 3 men have been identified as 39-year-old Manohar Lal Tiwari, also known as Guddu, 39-year-old Mukesh Sripal, and 38-year-old Anil Goswami.
When the police were interrogating the men, Mukesh Sripal admitted that they kidnapped the boy and wanted ransom money from the boy’s family.
SP Nimesh Agrawal said that the men lost a lot of money in gambling and were in dire need of money to pay off the loss.
The 10-year-old boy was kidnapped on 8 April and on the same day, the uncle of the minor filed a missing complaint at the police station.
Officials added that the men killed the 10-year-old boy when they realized that their plan was failing.
After a few days, villagers of the Sagda Village said that there was a bad odor coming out from an abandoned house.
SP Nimesh Agrawal added, “When the police went inside the house, the boy’s decomposed body was found lying in the corridor. The body was tied with electric wires and wrapped in a plastic bag.”
Manohar Lal Tiwari was recently released from prison on bail, he was arrested for a murder case in 2008.
The police have arrested Mukesh Sripal, Manohar Lal Tiwari, and Anil Goswami under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
