A 40-year-old woman attained injuries on her head after her Saree got stuck in one of the carriage door of a train at the Moti Nagar Metro Station as it was leaving the station.

40-year-old Gita was dragged on the platform, she was travelling with her daughter when the incident happened.

Jagdish Prasad, the husband of Gita said, “Gita and my daughter were traveling from Nawada. They got off at the Moti Nagar station when the pallu of Gita’s saree got stuck in the closing door. As a result, she got dragged for some distance on the platform.”

Gita is a housewife, her husband said that she attained injuries on the head and was brought to a hospital near the railway station.

Jagdish said that her daughter informed him about the incident. He added that one of the commuters pressed the emergency button that alerted the driver of the train about the incident.

A senior officer at the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) confirmed the incident.

The DMRC tweeted that they had to delay the services that were offered between the Moti Nagar Station and the Rajendra Place Station.
