A 6-year-old Telangana Girl who went out to play Holi was raped and killed by an intoxicated teen in the village of Turkapally. The 6-year-old girl was the daughter of a laborer who works on a daily wage.

The police said that the dead body of the girl was found mutilated in the bushes, the first impression of the police was that the girl was raped and murdered.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act has been registered against the teenager. The police said that he is a native of West Champaran, Bihar.

The family members of the 6-year-old girl filed a missing person complaint at the Alwal Police Station after she went missing and when the members of her family could not find her in their village.

Police officers of the Alwal Police Station launched a search operation which led them to the discovery of the mutilated body of the 6-year-old.

The teenager has been arrested by the police and a probe has been launched.
