Yes, you heard it right. Although, it is an approximate figure, yet precisely in session 2018-19, 31.5 lakh candidates and 24.9 lakh candidates filled Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) Application Form. Last year, there was 29 lakh registered candidates for Class 12th and 36.5 lakh registered candidates for Class 10th.

This year, from 6th February to 22nd February 2018, UP Board 10th class examinations were held. Showing positive side of this reported figure of 10 lakh lesser candidates appearing, UPSEB Additional Secretary (Administration) Shiv Lal has confirmed that “The crackdown on the copying mafia resulted in a large number of students dropping out this year.
