Police Report: A 17-year-old girl was killed by her own father in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, the police said that the father of the girl was against her friendship with a boy that was studying with her in College.

Police Inspector Pandurang Pawar said that the 17-year-old girl used to text and call the boy frequently and even went with him to their college in his motorcycle.

Inspector Pawar added that 51-year-old Pandurang Shreerang Saygunde, the father of the girl, repeatedly asked the girl to stop being friends with the boy, but the girl did not listen to his father.

The police said that On March 23, 51-year-old Pandurang Shreerang Saygunde killed his daughter inside their house in Chondi, the village is located 60 kilometers away from Ahmednagar.

51-year-old Pandurang Shreerang Saygunde did try to burn the body of her daughter with the help of his 2 relatives.

On March 24, the father filed a missing complaint at the Jamkhed Police Station.
