The flood situation continues to remain grim in Chennai and several parts of Tamil Nadu have been affected in one way or the other. This situation in Chennai saw many people turning into Samaritans and helping the flood-affected victims in every possible way. Now, here comes the turn of a road transport corporation bus driver.

Here, in this video, you can see a bus carrying passengers inside and atop, and crossing the deluged Tambaram bypass. The level of water was so high that it reached the bottom of the windshield. People are seen cheering in the video after the driver manages to veer the bus to a safer ground.

While some appreciate the courage with which the driver pulled off the dangerous task, there were others who prayed that the bus did not turn upside down because of the weight it was carrying.

The torrential rains in Chennai, what is called the worst rainfall in a century in this part of the country have created havoc. The seriousness of the situation can be gauged from the fact that personnel from all three defence services have been pressed into relief and rescue work.
