A Guy Bought Bride For 22,000, Later Committed Suicide As He Doesn’t Have That Much Money

Girl Trafficking… this is one of the biggest problems India is dealing with since many decades, Mainly in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, it is even more. Trapping minor girls and later selling them for marriages and brothel is the main business for many gangs. Many such cases have come out recently but they are just 1% of the thousands of cases which never came into light, One of such cases has now taken the life of a man, This is what exactly happened.

Bride sold for 22k

A man bought a bride for 22,000 and married her, But at that time he only had 17,000 to give the broker, He told him that he will repay it later, But the broker realized that he had been cheated of the remaining amount and confronted the newly-wed couple at their residence.  He took the girl away from the groom as he cheated him without paying the remaining 5000. Which lead the groom to commit suicide in shame.

The incident happened in Suroorpur Villiage, The name of Groom is identified as Mukesh, Mukesh outbid the other men in the auction to win the girl for 22,000 to marry her, Their marriage happened in the brick kiln in their village. But after five days of marriage Monu who is a broker of the girl trafficking gang found that he has been cheated by the groom as he only given 17,000 instead of 22,000 so he went to their house and took that girl with him.

This incident hurt Mukesh’s pride and in shame, he hung himself to a tree in the village. Later the incident caught the eyes of police and in their investigation, it is revealed that Monu had 3 more girls for auction, And he is working with one a girl trafficking gang.

The police have said that the body of Mukesh was sent for post-mortem and those in connection with the crime would be punished. According to a survey by National Crime Records Bureau in the year of 2016, the number of girls who were abducted for the purpose of marriage in India was more than 30 thousand, And most of them were under the age of 18. These are just those cases which came to light.
