[WATCH VIDEO] A Woman Driving Car With Headphones Crushes Toddler To Death In Delhi
Days after a woman driving a car crushed a two-year-old child playing on the road in southwest Delhi’s Palam, CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral. The video footage of the incident emerged on Sunday.
The woman is seen driving through a narrow lane with the child’s mother shouting for the former’s attention. The woman, however, continues to drive on and runs over the kid. She stops only after passersby force her hand. In the video, we can see the toddler running on the road and an i-20 car which was coming speed from behind crushed him.
The incident took place on Wednesday around 2.30 pm when Deepak was playing near his home. Deepak’s mother Preeti is seen running after the car and screaming at the woman driver asking her to stop the vehicle. The incident took place on Wednesday when Deepak was playing outside his home in Sadh Nagar.
As per the reports, his mother had come to feed him but the boy ran away and came under the wheels. The family members of the victim had alleged that since she had earphones plugged in she did not hear when they asked her to stop the car after which the incident took place.
Preeti is seen picking up the child and requesting the woman, identified as Vandana, to take them to the hospital. Only when a passerby pulled at her door did the woman come out of the car, the child’s mother said. “She refused to accept that her car had hit my child,” Preeti claimed in her complaint.
