Popular columnist Shobhaa De is known for her razor-sharp opinions. The lady recently embroiled herself in a controversy when she took a dig at Indian athletes participating in the Rio Olympics for failing to win any medals.

She posted a very nasty tweet which says, “Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity.”

This tweet has unleashed the wrath of Twitteratis on her. Many lashed out at her for being ‘insensitive’ towards athletes who beat the odds and reached there to represent the country.

Reacting to this statement of Shobhaa, actors including Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha got on to twitter, and gave a befitting reply to the lady.
