Karan Oberoi, a television actor was arrested for blackmailing, allegedly raping, and promising marrage to a woman.

Officials said that he will be detained until the 9th of May.

Karan is a television actor and model who raped a woman after promising a woman that he will marry her.

A police officer from the Oshiwara Police Station said, “Karan Oberoi not only raped the woman and filmed the act but also demanded money from her threatening to release the video if she did not pay up.”

The police complaint was lodged at the Oshiwara Police Station.

The actor-model was arrested under the IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 384 and 376.

Shialesh Pasalwad, a Senior Police Inspector at the Oshiwara Police Station said that a probe has been launched for the case.

Karan Oberoi played Bobby in a move called “Swabhimaan” that was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He then starred in Television Shows such as Inside Edge, Saaya, and Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.

The actor was also a member of a band that was assembled in 2001, the band was called “A Band of Boys”.

Karan has also appeared in a couple of television advertisements, he is currently a fashion and fitness model.
